Imelda Borja,  Lead Cook

Education:  University of the East (Philippines), Nursing. Pace University, New York, Computer Science.

Professional Experience:  Imelda Borja is a self taught Chef specializing in Filipino Cuisine.  She owned a catering business in Queens, New York before moving to Jacksonville, Florida.  For 22-years she has worked for Blue Cross & Blue Shields retiring as a Quality Auditor.  Imelda Borja is a consummate chef and is an invaluable asset to the Academy.

Robert Ravago, Financier

Education:  Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Management, Jacksonville University, Jacksonville, FL.

Professional Experience: Teacher & Professional English Tutor, Gyeonggi-do and Seoul Board of Education, South Korea.

Emilee Laun,  Assistant Teacher

Education:  Virtual Home Schooling Program

Professional Experience:  Currently, Emiee is assigned as a teacher assistant to the director working with both Pre-VPK and VPK students.  She demonstrates good work ethics combined with a pleasant personality that makes her an asset to the Academy.

Nancy Martongelli,  Teacher

Education: Associates of Arts in Licensed Practical Nurse, Florida State College of Jacksonville.

Professional Experience: Nancy was the owner of Dick`s Wings on Old St. Augustine Road and Beach Boulevard. 

She is a proud mother of two wonderful children.

Don Ito Ravago,  Chef

Education: AOS Degree in Culinary Arts, Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, University of North Florida, Jacksonville, FL.

Professional Experience: Menu Designer and ESL Textbook Coordinator of American Food for Elementary Winter and Summer Camps, Gyeonoggi-do Board of Education, South Korea. Banquet Chef/Chef de Partie, Magnolia's Restaurant, Charleston SC.  Sous Chef, FIG Restaurant, Charleston, SC. Sous Chef, A.L. Bazzini Catering, NYC.  Chef de Poissonnier, Zoe's Restaurant, NYC.  Tournant, Compass Restaurant, NYC.

After ten years of planning and deliberation, they started a home daycare in April 1999.  Through the help and guidance of the Department of Children and Families, they pioneered the Large Family Home Daycare which allowed them to have a maximum of twelve children.  In December 2003, they purchased a two acre land along Old St Augustine Road.  Notwithstanding, the various challenges in their desire to open a daycare facility, through the help of God and strong conviction, Ronelli`s Academy was finally opened for business in February 2011.  The location of the academy can be described as country living where great love and hospitality abounds.

The child care academy was founded in a humble beginning with strong belief in God and that the children is the future of our country.  To realize this objective, we and our staff are committed to provide the best quality care humanly possible where safety is paramount.

Nellie Ravago is the wife of Bob.  She migrated to the United States in 1976.  Since then, she stayed at home and raised two wonderful sons, Robert and Don.  She worked in the banking industry for eight years and Blue Cross & Blue Shields for eleven years.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  Presently, she is the director of the Academy.


Bob Ravago is a native born American citizen when the Philippines was a territory of the United States in 1946.  He joined the US Navy in 1974 and retired in 1999 as a Naval Officer.  He holds a degree in BS in Economics, Political Science and J.D. at Aquinas University of the Philippines.
